Winters Healthcare Foundation (WHF) is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that values individuals who are dedicated and innovative. We operate a primary care medical office that provides healthcare to individuals of all ages, from prenatal care to elder care. In addition to the medical office we have a fully staffed dental office, as well as behavioral health, prenatal, outreach and education programs.

We are a small organization, and we treasure and nurture the relationships between our patients and providers. Our 35 staff members serve more than 3,000 patients. At WHF we believe in “whole person” care. We actively work with other groups in and around Winters, CA to provide a myriad of services and supports to our patients and to improve the health of our entire community. We believe in teamwork, supporting one another, and are committed to an ongoing process of quality improvement.

Winters, CA

Winters, CA is located at the base of the Vaca Mountains in Northern California. We are located about 30 miles west of Sacramento, and both the San Francisco Bay area and the Sierra Mountains are an easy day trip. Winters has hot, mostly dry summers and cool, wet winters.

The town of Winters is a small farming town, home to unique shops, restaurants and galleries. Winters’ location offers its residents a host of amenities, recreation activities, and world-class cultural offerings just minutes away.

Putah Creek Fishing Access, operated by Yolo County, is located on 150 acres, along a 3.25 mile stretch of Putah Creek and State Highway 128, 7 miles west of the town of Winters. There are picnic tables, barbecues, fishing, parking, and sanitary facilities. A day use fee is required.

There are many wonderful opportunities for hiking in the Winters area. One of the more popular hikes is the Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve just west of Winters near Lake Berryessa. Set in a steep north-facing canyon of the Coast Range you will find excellent opportunities to study plant and animal communities of both the inner and outer Coast Ranges.
