Operating uninterrupted for over 100 years, UNION has emerged as one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in New York State. UNION practices holistic care delivery that reaches far into the community, addressing social determinants of health to improve the overall wellness and quality of life in neighborhoods throughout the Bronx.
Located in one of the most culturally diverse boroughs of New York City, UNION has grown to six locations conducting nearly 200,000 patient care visits annually to an active patient caseload of over 40,000 individuals. In 2016, UNION ranked in the 97th percentile by HRSA for clinical, financial, and regulatory performance. As a teaching facility, UNION trains the next generation of health care professionals to understand the complexity of serving low-income, uninsured, disadvantaged and indigent populations in a cost-effective manner. UNION is training healthcare professionals to meet patient care challenges in a value-based payment environment.
