Started in 2010, when Dr. Michael Rothwell, the “Well” in Well-Key and Dr. Robin Huskey, the “Key” in Well-Key opened their first clinic in Sevierville. While practicing medicine and surgery in Sevierville, the two decided there was a need for enhanced patient access to affordable, quality immediate care with extended hours. Something easier and less expensive than the local emergency rooms. Enter: “Smoky Mountain Urgent Care,” their first urgent care and the first certified level 1 urgent care center in the entire region. As the clinics grew beyond the confines of the Smoky Mountains where it started the name evolved into Well-Key Urgent Care. With costs, a fraction of those charged in an emergency room, Dr. Rothwell’s and Huskey’s urgent care center, now Well-Key Urgent Care, provides a cost-effective alternative for patients in our region.
