Facility Details

United Community Health Center (UCHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is a medical home that provides primary and preventive health care to the population of southern Arizona and is open to all regardless of their ability to pay. Currently, there are eleven community health centers under the umbrella of UCHC, collectively providing care to more than 14,132 patients and filling the critical gaps in health care serving the working poor, the uninsured, the medically underserved, and many high-risk and vulnerable populations.

United Community Health Center is fortunate to have a team of skilled medical providers who are dedicated to ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. They work collaboratively, all pulling together to achieve our mission and to do so in efficient and effective ways. Supporting these skilled providers is a staff of medical assistants, medical records specialists, referrals clerks, front desk registration staff, AHCCCS, and other assistance program specialists, and a billing team. It is through the collaboration of all these workers that United Community Health Center is able to provide our patients with the quality healthcare experience they expect and deserve.

Situated in the lush rolling hills of the Santa Cruz River Valley, Green Valley lives up to its name. The word is out in Green Valley. It’s no longer a place to quietly spend your pension. Nope, Green Valley offers proximity to some of Southern Arizona’s most prized attractions – and not just golf.

If you are into chasing a little white ball, Green Valley’s mild four-season climate attracts many amateur and pro golfers to its eight beautiful public and private courses. Beyond the greens, the charming artist's colony of Tubac, just 20 minutes south, beckons. Nearby Madera Canyon, ranked as the third-best birding destination in the United States, will have you pulling out your binoculars for 15 species of hummingbirds, along with tanagers, flycatchers, and trogons, to name just a few. Intrepid hikers can tackle the steep trails of Mount Wrightson, the second highest peak in Arizona.

Southern Arizona's crisp high-desert air, sunny climate, lack of natural disasters, and exceptional air quality make our corner of the world the picture of health and a healthy lifestyle.

Tucson is the ideal environment for several top-ranked health and spa retreats, Miraval and Canyon Ranch, as well as alternative health centers. And of course, with over 350 days of sunshine and all kinds of natural and man-made amenities, a healthy, active, and fun lifestyle is par for the course (of which there are many!).

The culture is a unique blend of Western, Mexican, and Native American influences. Locals enjoy everything from symphonies to rodeos, modern art to Wild West shootouts. The diversity in culture is reflected in metropolitan communities like Tucson and Casa Grande to the historic mining towns of Tombstone and Bisbee. Communities in Southern Arizona come in all shapes and sizes, each with their own unique character.

Dining is diverse and delicious, with restaurants ranging from world-renowned gourmet to some of the best Mexican food this side of the border. In 2015, UNESCO ranked Tucson as North America’s first-ever City of Gastronomy.

The intriguing landscape of the desert gives way to majestic mountains in every direction, making Southern Arizona a paradise for anyone who loves the outdoors. And golfers enjoy some of the finest courses anywhere, from challenging target golf to traditional layouts. The sunny weather keeps the outdoors available year-round.
