Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc. (OHI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) based in Ocean County, New Jersey. OHI provides high quality, accessible and affordable family health care to the area’s residents regardless of insurance at our seven Health Center locations in Brick, Freehold, Lakewood, Little Egg Harbor, Toms River, Manahawkin and Manchester; with two School Based Wellness Programs in the Lakewood High School and Clifton Avenue Elementary School, Lakewood; and a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU).
Pharmacies are located within our Lakewood, Little Egg Harbor and Manchester Health Centers. (Stafford and Freehold soon to come)
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most commercial insurances. A sliding fee scale is available to all patients based on an individual’s ability to pay for the primary and preventative health care services rendered.
OHI is recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), a national program that uses evidence-based, patient-centered processes to focus on highly coordinated care and long-term participative relationships.
With 44 miles of Atlantic coastline, sugar sand beaches, nostalgic Jersey Shore boardwalks and the serenity of Barnegat Bay, Ocean County offers an array of attractions and festivals for every age and every month of the year. Summertime is spectacular in Ocean County. But beyond the summer season, our extraordinary festivals, county parks, fishing excursions, and unique venues provide exciting educational experiences during all four seasons. Six Flags Great Adventure thrills visitors from April to January. Jenkinson's Aquarium, a variety of museums, live performances and our picturesque vineyard delight and entertain travelers all year round.
