Job Description

Hours: FT and PRN Available | Hospital coverage beginning Sunday 7 AM through Friday 7 AM | Physicians will remain in-house for the duration of their 24-hour shift

Additional Information: OB/GYN'S will provide hospital coverage for both obstetrical and gynecological needs at Ochsner Medical Center Baton Rouge, a full-service, 150-bed hospital and the first birthing facility in the state to be recognized as a Baby-Friendly designated birth facility. The Family Birthing Center, averaging 1,600 deliveries per year.

- Responsibilities may include GYN call coverage for the ED, triage patients in Labor and Delivery, and backup office-based OB/GYN's by seeing their hospital patients when they are unavailable, start deliveries, and/or assisting in C-sections and other surgeries.
- Program is supported by a group of employed OB/GYN's and a team of Certified Nurse-Midwives.
