Additional Information: • Intake patients by obtaining vital signs, verifying allergies and all medications that the patient is currently taking, documenting chief complaints before the patient is seen by the physician
• Obtain laboratory results for review by the physician, setting up and assisting with procedures, completing lab requisition forms and entering labs as ordered
• Perform various injections such as intradurmal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous, and phlebotomy as ordered
• Perform electrocardiograms, suture removal and wound care, patient education and assist with minor surgery
• Ensure patient follow-up care and scheduling of appointments
• Prepare and stock examination rooms
• Administer oxygen therapy by nasal cannula or face mask as ordered by the physician
Qualifications:
-Associates of Science degree or Technical school
-Nationally registered or licensed as a Certified Medical Assistant; CPR Certification
