  • Additional Information: This Psychiatrist will support our Primary Care-Mental Health Integration (PC-MHI) efforts and is co-located in the Primary Care Clinic. The co-located model with Primary Care increases access to a variety of mental health care services in a relatively non-stigmatizing environment. The PC-MHI Psychiatrist provides support to primary care physicians in managing uncomplicated mental health issues, consults with Primary Care physicians to provide education and guidance on initial prescription decision making, medication changes, and management of routine side effects, and also provides pharmacological and non-pharmacological services to patients with mental health needs that can be managed in the Primary Care setting, interfacing with the outpatient Mental Health Clinic in the coordination of care for Veterans who cannot be managed in the Primary Care setting.
