Additional Information: The Staff Physician, Psychiatry, is assigned to the VA San Francisco Health Care System (VASFHCS), Mental Health Service, providing comprehensive, efficient, compassionate, high quality healthcare to all patients, functioning as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing clinical care to the patients at VASFHCS. As a Staff Physician, Psychiatry, the responsibilities include providing psychiatric evaluation and treatment, in collaboration with other members of the health care team. This position is specifically providing care in the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Clinic, as part of the Addictions Psychiatry Treatment program, therefore candidates board eligible or board certified in Addictions Psychiatry are preferred. Supervision and education of VA psychiatry fellows, as well as medical students and psychiatry residents from University of California, San Francisco, is required.
