Neighborhood Health Clinics, Inc. has been the leading community healthcare agency in the region for over 50 years. Founded in 1969, it was created to ensure quality healthcare for all populations in Fort Wayne regardless of their socio-economic status. This holistic healthcare provides comprehensive services that continue to grow and meet the needs of its community. These services include medical, dental, vision, WIC (nutritional services for expecting/new mothers, infants and children up to age five), and behavioral health.
Our mission is simple but powerful, “to provide access to quality health services where everyone is cared for with compassion and respect”. Staff members lead with this motto and clients agree as 99% reported being treated with respect and courtesy by providers and nursing staff in the most recent NH client survey.
With two sites and outreach services, the organization served 20,551 patients last year including 5,436 (26%) that utilize our sliding fee scale. We believe that every person regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, income level, or insurance status should have every opportunity to receive outstanding and comprehensive medical care; and Neighborhood Health ensures they receive it.
