You’ll find quaint lakeside villages, hubs of agriculture & industry, and bustling resort towns. Each with its own personality and a unique character but all are influenced by the abundance and beauty of Lake Huron and the rich, productive farmland of the area.

"Where The Countryside Meets the Lakeshore" means 93 miles of Lake Huron shoreline meets 836 square miles of land. You will find the shoreline to be mostly residential and cottage homes spaced between six shoreline communities.

Travel just a mile or so inland and you will meet countryside, as in miles of farmland interspersed with woods and homes. Six more inland communities round out Huron County's cities and villages. The centrally located county seat is Bad Axe and from here you can reach every other community within 20 to 30 minutes.
