Queens Counseling for Change

Facility Details

Damian FHC has entered a collaboration with Queens Counseling for Change (QCC) to provide behavioral counseling services.  Services are provided by licensed counselors with many years of experience in the field.  The agency is led by Larry Menzie, LCSW/R and Beth Covelli, LCSW/R social workers with over 25yrs of experience providing services in a variety of settings.

QCC uses evidence-based approaches combined with emerging practice techniques to maximize a client's ability to engage positively with their treatment experience. All counselors have years of experience and work collaboratively with each client to create treatment goals and plans that will create the change behaviors needed to maximize their benefits of treatment.  Each client is placed in a group that not only meets their scheduling needs but provides them an opportunity to express themselves openly without judgment.

Once an epicenter of manufacturing, Long Island City is now home to one of the City’s most exciting art scenes. The neighborhood is dotted with late 19th- and early 20th-century industrial buildings that have been transformed into galleries, museums and studios, and there’s a fast-growing list of must-visit restaurants, shops and performance venues. It’s home to PS1, the Museum of Modern Art’s Queens outpost, along with Socrates Sculpture Park—an open studio and outdoor gallery whose view of the Manhattan skyline makes it one of the City’s best picnic spots.
