    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    -Assesses patient needs, and plans, and delivers direct dental hygiene care and associated services to patients as well as provides oral health education.
    -Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures
    -Take x-rays of patients' teeth and develop them for dentist's use
    -Helps dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drugs and
    oxygen supply, and a directory of emergency numbers
    -Uses dental appliances to perform procedures to provide preventive or corrective care.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    -Associate's degree from an accredited hygiene program
    -VA State hygiene license
    -Current CPR certification
    -Ability to use an x-ray machine
