The University has a satellite campus in Concord, a professional development center in Oakland and a significant presence online. Founded in 1957, Cal State East Bay is one of 23 universities of the California State University system (CSU). The purpose of the Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS), is to provide basic medical care, counseling, and psychological services and health promotions to CSUEB students and to help students be successful in school so they may achieve their academic, personal and career goals.
