Additional Information: Part-time opportunity with months off in June and July
- Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) provides limited psychiatric services for CSUEB students.
- The psychiatrist works in a consultative and collaborative capacity with Clinicians of the Student Health and Counseling Services, which includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Counselors.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric consultations. Assess, diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric disorders.
- Complete Psychiatric evaluations; detailed histories to include inquiry into family history, social history, functional/work history, habits/substance use.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- 3 additional years of specialized training in the field of psychiatry.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the practice of psychiatry after completion of a psychiatry residency program.
- Certification as a Board Diplomate in the specialty of psychiatry.
