The Buckhannon CareXpress location offers an array of medical services including comprehensive primary care and chronic disease management, walk-in acute care for non-chronic non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, and pediatric care with a highly competent staff that offers quick, efficient assistance for pediatric illnesses, non-life-threatening injuries, well-child visits, immunizations, and other childhood healthcare needs.

Community Care of West Virginia, Inc. (CCWV) has been serving the needs of rural, medically-underserved West Virginians for nearly 30 years and has expanded its scope and service area to address the needs of others beyond the reach of the original service area. Now with 12 separate clinical sites, including a pain management program, 28 school-based sites, five pharmacies and one dental site, all located in areas designated as medically-underserved, CCWV now serves a substantial portion of north central West Virginia. In 2013, CCWV served 28,000 patients with over 120,000 patient visits. Within the next year, CCWV will be focused on expanding our operations to include additional clinical sites, a pharmacy and several additional school-based health sites.

The mission of CCWV is to help our communities live the healthiest lives possible by meeting their immediate and long-term healthcare needs. This mission is accomplished by providing high quality, accessible, comprehensive, culturally-appropriate, cost-effective healthcare services, by serving as a true comprehensive medical home for our patients and customers, and by striving to fulfill the objectives of The Institute for Healthcare Improvement's Triple Aim.
