As a result, we offer a seamless workforce environment that empowers our staff to apply their passion for high-quality healthcare in innovative ways to better serve our patients and their families.

Ampla Health adopted the Patient-Centered Medical Home model of health care delivery that encourages improved quality and greater involvement of patients in their own care. The Medical Home is an innovative, team-based approach to providing health care services via a partnership between the patient, his or her primary clinician, and a healthcare team. The healthcare team may include primary care or specialty physicians, community-based providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical assistants, registered nurses, LVNs, medical assistants, etc. Together, following evidence-based guidelines for medical care, the team will offer consistent, coordinated care and communication, and arrange for specialty care to provide the best healthcare services possible for you.

Ampla Health is a 501 (c)3 non-profit network of community-based Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) offering comprehensive medical, dental, mental health, and specialty healthcare services in Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba counties.

Mission Statement

"To provide the individuals and communities we serve with high quality, comprehensive, community-directed healthcare that is accessible to all and culturally and linguistically appropriate."

The City of Oroville is located in Butte County in the Sierra Nevada Foothills within the Northern Sacramento Valley. The City of Oroville has a population of approximately 14,500 and is the third largest municipality in Butte County, followed by Chico and Paradise.

Oroville is positioned off of Highway 70 and is in close proximity to Highway 99, which connects Butte County with Interstate 5, which travels the length of California. Oroville is approximately 65 miles north of Sacramento, the California State Capitol. Oroville is a good 2.5 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area and Reno.

The city is considered the gateway to Lake Oroville and Feather River recreational areas. Lake Oroville, which is adjacent to the City, is the second largest lake in California. Lake Oroville was created with the construction of the Oroville Dam, the tallest earthen dam in the United States. The lake offers a wide variety of outdoor activities including camping, picnicking, horseback riding, hiking, sail and power boating, water-skiing, fishing, swimming, boat-in camping, floating campsites and horse camping.

Lake Oroville Visitor Center has a museum, exhibits, videos and a store. The view from the 47-foot tower, with two high-powered telescopes, is a spectacular panoramic view of the lake, Sierra Nevada’s, valley, foothills, and the Sutter Buttes mountain range (smallest in the world).
