JOB DESCRIPTION:
Education and training of medical assistants to perform all of the following: Triage of phone calls and walk-in appointments. Prior authorizations, completion of medical forms, diabetic and other medical education of patients.
Medication refills
Pre-visit huddles and how to prepare
Managing clinic flow and daily operations
Initiate appropriate evaluation and emergency management for emergency situations (i.e. - cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, injuries, burns, hemorrhage)
Perform procedures such as Venipuncture, electrocardiogram, wound care

QUALIFICATIONS:
RN Degree
Familiar with EHR
Licensed in D.C.
BLS certified
