The Charge Nurse is responsible and accountable for leading and supervising clinical support staff in a designated department. She/he must work collaboratively with clinicians, administrative staff, andother center charge nurses to provide safe, high quality, effective, and efficient medical care.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides high-quality, evidence-based care across the lifespan
Demonstrates high-level triage skills
Effectively manages time to meet all nursing responsibilities
Creates/ develops clinical support staff leaders through mentoring and by example.
Ensures accuracy of and approves timesheets from staff she/he supervises.
Provides orientation, training, and periodic competency testing of clinical support staff
Takes initiative to problem-solve problems and recommend departmental improvements
QUALIFCATIONS:
BE/BC
CPR Certification
Clinical experience in an outpatient setting
1 year supervisory or equivalent experience
