Facility Details

Alcona Citizens for Health, Inc. (Alcona Health Center) has been operating as a Federally Qualified Health Center since July of 1978, with the opening of its first clinic in Lincoln, MI. Since that time, AHC has expanded to serve 7 counties. The Service Area includes Alcona, Alpena, Iosco, Emmet, Cheboygan, Otsego, and Chippewa counties.  

AHC has an integrated approach to health and provides primary care services that include medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, care management, MAT and SUD treatment, as well as a full array of enabling services at 15 clinic locations throughout Northern MI.

AHC provides behavioral health services in over 20 schools across Northern Michigan. Of these locations, 3 sites offer both behavioral health and medical services. Patient Support AHC offers a full array of enabling services including health education, eligibility screenings, care management, care coordination, and community resource referrals.

Harrisville is about 15 miles north of Oscoda on the Lake Huron coast, Michigan's best-kept secret.

The forest contains 330 miles (530 km) of hiking trails. The beauty this forest displays throughout the seasons is truly breathtaking. Take a moment to visit Sturgeon Point Light Station, a lighthouse and museum that is just a few miles to the north and is open to the public.
