About Agape Health Services

The first healthcare center was established in Washington, North Carolina in 1998 and operated under Metropolitan Housing Inc.

The following year, the organization elected a separate Board of Directors and changed the name to Metropolitan Community Health Services, Inc. Metropolitan Community Health Services, Inc. does business as Agape Health Services.

Due to an increased demand for affordable healthcare in rural Eastern North Carolina counties, the organization expanded its operations and in 2013 opened the second site in Williamston, North Carolina. Agape Health Services is processing the opening of a third site in Plymouth, North Carolina, tentatively scheduled for Fall 2022.
